ZAK GEORGE’S GUIDE TO A WELL-BEHAVED DOG- PROVEN SOLUTIONS TO THE MOST COMMON TRAINING PROBLEMS FOR ALL AGES, BREEDS, AND MIXES (232 pages). A compassionate, modern, science-based approach to help you (and your dog!) with common training problems. Celebrity dog trainer and YouTube star Zak George creates the most watched dog training content in the world and has helped millions of people with their dogs. In this problem-based guide, he makes it easy to look up and solve the exact behavioral issue that you’re struggling with—whether you’re dealing with a new puppy, an adult dog you’ve had for years, or a recently adopted rescue. He also helps you prevent many of these problems from becoming established in the first place. Packed with case studies and examples from Zak’s videos so you can see his dog and puppy training tactics in action, this book contains step-by-step instructions for dealing with: • Chewing • Jumping up • Barking • Play biting • Begging • Not listening • Thunderstorm phobia • Separation anxiety • Aggression • And much more! Delving deeply into why dogs do what they do and how to work through any problems that might arise, Zak proves that it’s never too late to correct behavioral issues. Donated by Dylan, Bubba, and Whittle Curley.
ANNIE LOSES HER LEG BUT FINDS HER WAY (40 pages) by Sandra J. Philipson. Based on an actual incident, this is both a poignant and funny story of a nine-year-old English Springer Spaniel who loses her front leg to cancer. Annie and her high-spirited brother Max experience her illness and recovery in very different ways. Max is in denial and Annie is in a state of sad acceptance. It isn’t until they meet Samantha, a three-legged Golden Retriever, that they both begin to heal. This is a book about love, loss, friendship and optimism that is appropriate for children of all ages and the young in spirit. Donated by Beth Reid.
Rainbow Bridge Crossings
BENJI (class of 2011) was fostered by FRAN FISHER and adopted by BESS AIREY’s family. He had some anxiety initially, but his family worked closely with him. He was truly a Velcro dog – always following you everywhere…even to the bathroom! He had so much energy and loved playing with his many, many toys. He loved spending time at Bethany Beach, DE and digging in the sand. His favorite thing to do though was grabbing socks, shoes and especially Bess’ husband’s underwear and running around the house until he got a treat. Benny was Bess’ rock when her husband had serious health issues. Unfortunately, he developed his own health issues, and it was time to say goodbye. Benny was so special and his family thanks him for so much comfort, joy, and happiness.
SIMBA (SAINT, class of 2017) Saint was found as a stray in VA. Since he looks so much like a Tibetan Spaniel, MAESSR decided to take him and find this sweet boy a home. SIMBA was fostered by DEBBIE LIPCSEY and adopted by JOANNE COHEN–KATZ’s family. Simba was a happy, excited, loving boy who was completely devoted to his people. His hobbies included walks with his mom, rolling around in fields, swimming in lakes, and cuddling up for bedtime. His eyes were so deep with love and adoration. Truly the happiest, sweetest boy who is so deeply missed. His family is absolutely devastated but will always be grateful to MAESSR for giving him to them. They had almost 9 years with their beautiful boy, and he made them so happy!

It works much like Twitter, so the format will be familiar.
