Original: “Zuzu sleeps on a dog bed in her foster parents’ bedroom, but most probably would love the opportunity to get in the “big bed.”
A MAESSR volunteer drove Zuzu from a shelter in North Carolina to her foster home in Virginia. This love is a bit of a reserved girl who likes to take a few minutes to figure out if new people are o.k. when she first meets them. Once she decides, she loves those folks a lot!!
Miss Z is receiving an anxiety supplement to help her relax when people try to pet her head. She is reliably housetrained, and, although she is crate trained, a crate is not necessary. She has wonderful house manners!! Zuzu sleeps on a dog bed in her foster parents’ bedroom, but most probably would love the opportunity to get in the “big bed.”
This black and white beauty knows “sit,” “stay,” “down,” and “shake.” She walks well on a leash and rides comfortably in the car.
Zuzu did well at the groomers except when they were grooming her head. A muzzle did help to calm her down. Her foster mom has been working with her on becoming more comfortable with grooming and will show her forever home how to desensitize her to clippers around her head. She is also becoming more accepting of having her ears groomed.
From shelter to a loving MAESSR foster home to a wonderful forever family. How Zuzu’s life will change during this wonderful summer! This sweet girl is going to make the right person extremely happy, and a welcoming family will make all the difference to this loving young lady.
