Lola and Zorba are in need of a home because their 79 year old owner must move to a nursing home. They have spent the last few years content to keep their bedridden mistress company. She has passed away and they miss her. They enjoyed the company of the family cats, too. But when the man of the house had a heart attack Lola and Zorba were boarded and the cats were adopted into other homes. They miss their cat buddies. Now they follow their owner around the house and are confused with the changes.
Lola and Zorba love each other and need each other and their owner  would very much like to place them together. In their lifetime they had two litters of puppies. Lola was spayed in 2001 and Zorba was  neutered on 2-16-04. They are housetrained and will sit by the door when they need to go out and can be at large in the house, although they have had someone home with them for several years. They used to walk with a group of dogs and people in the park and are fine off leash and do not run away but prefer to be with their people. They love the car and love to swim and collect tennis balls from the local tennis courts. They don’t usually get on the furniture but are accustomed to being invited onto the bed by their mistress who enjoyed their “therapy”. They are visited by grandchildren ages 6 and 12 a few times a year.
Lola and Zorba have never used a crate. They do not chew inappropriately. They have had no formal training but will work for treats. They do not jump on people and enjoy the attention of visitors. The move of their owner to the nursing home will be soon and then they will be boarded. It is time for Lola and Zorba to move on to care for another family. Do you have room in your heart and in your home for them?
