The luckiest day of Ziggy’s life was when a Good Samaritan found him running as a stray in Virginia. He was a mess, but she still took him home and searched for three weeks to find his family. She was sure that no one would willingly let a dog this good go without looking for him. When no one claimed Ziggy, she contacted MAESSR.
Ziggy walked into his foster home smelling so bad it was hard to be around him. He had the worst infected ears his foster mom had seen in a LONG time. The very next morning, Ziggy went to the vet where they shaved the mats away from his ears and flushed them clean. He is on a medication for the ears for three weeks, but they already seem to be clearing up. Ziggy’s eyes were also infected and he is on medication for two weeks to help them. The vet assured his foster mother that the lump on his stomach is just a fatty lipoma which does not need to be removed since it does not bother him in any way. Ziggy was an absolute ANGEL through all of the poking and prodding at the vet’s office. He is just grateful for the attention!
Housetrained and having excellent house manners, Ziggy has been a good boy in his foster home. He likes to sleep in the bed with his foster family and will get on the sofa to cuddle with his foster parents. He loves children and plays nicely with them. Ziggy walks well on a leash and is also a good car rider.
Watch for more on this sweet boy as he regains his health!
