Original: “Here’s a fellow who gets along with everyone (except those pesky felines—but, hey, he’s a dog!!), minds his manners, walks well, and loves to play and run.”
Zack came to MAESSR after he repeatedly harassed his Virginia family’s cat. They had not had Zack very long and decided he had to move on; now this lucky fellow is a MAESSR boy!!
Zack is Erhlichia positive. The vet said he is not symptomatic at this time and therefore is not being treated by MAESSR. His exam and radiographs revealed some significant hip dysplasia and osteoarthritis in both hips. In addition to the joint supplement, the vet recommended that he stay lean to keep as much stress off his hips as possible—welcome to the club, Zack! He runs, jumps, and plays with the best of them—no hip issues are apparent with this guy.
The new young man has been a wonderful guest in his foster home. The only thing negative his foster mom can say about him is that he will guard the food bowl from the other dogs. This is not an intense reaction and does not result in a fight. At all other times, Zack is great with other dogs.
Mr. Handsome is crate trained and has wonderful house manners. He will pull on the leash a little at the beginning of a walk, but quickly settles down and is a wonderful walking companion.
Zack recently went to a large pet expo as a MAESSR ambassador. He was fantastic. Everyone that met him fell in love. He had a blast with the hundreds of people that came through the MAESSR booth. This is one great boy!
The groomer declared Zack to be “perfect.” Plus he rode well in the car for his trips to the vet and groomer.
Here’s a fellow who gets along with everyone (except those pesky felines—but, hey, he’s a dog!!), minds his manners, walks well, and loves to play and run. Wouldn’t you like to make him part of your family for the wonderful outdoor season coming up; he’ll look handsome under your Christmas tree also!
