Update 05/20/08:
When Yoyo was spayed, she spent one night at the veterinary hospital. She was absolutely overjoyed to see her foster mom when she picked her up the next morning. The vet said Yoyo made lots of friends and that a few of the staff there had inquired if she was available for adoption. Wow! What an impression this little one made!!
Yoyo is a sweetie. She loves to play and run with the 4 year old resident Springer, and she is a bit of a mischievous annoyance to the resident senior Springer – always nipping at his ears or feet as he shuffles by. She has learned to sit and wait for her peanut butter-coated cranberry pill in the morning with the gang and then enjoys a peanut butter-stuffed Kong when her foster mom leaves for work.
Her day is broken up by a daily visit from her foster mom’s dad who comes to work in the garden and takes the gang out in the yard with him. Yoyo loves to explore the yard. She will expend lots of energy and then disappear into the house for one of her many puppy naps throughout the day.
Yoyo would do best with someone who is home more often than not. She still has many things to learn, like leash walking, and will depend on her humans to continue teaching her. She would love to have a canine companion to play with – preferably one younger than older who she wouldn’t annoy so much with her exuberance. Yoyo is a bright and fun loving pup. Don’t miss the chance to watch this one grow up!!!!!
Original:
Yoyo and her brother Zachariah were picked up wandering in western Maryland by animal control. The shelter called MAESSR and now they are looking for forever homes of their own. It is estimated that the pups are 3.5 months old and are in good health.
Yoyo is the chocolate dipped version of her brother Zach – a luscious deep brown and black color and she is just as sweet. She is certainly keeping her foster family busy. Yoyo is a playful pup but at the same time she is very laid back and at ease. She will jump right onto your lap and curl up to take a nap. When her teenage foster sister is on her computer, Yoyo will jump up on the sofa next to her and hang out. She loves to chase the ball and sometimes will even bring it back to you! Yoyo loves to run around the yard with the resident four year old Springer and to be part of the gang. She is reliable in the crate from 11 PM until 6 AM, although she is not totally potty trained yet.
Just like her brother, this is one easy-going, loving puppy who wants nothing more than humans to snuggle with and who can help her explore all the wonders of the world. Could that be you?
