Update 12/23/09:
Whiskey has been in foster care for two weeks now, and, a real energetic yet gentle boy is emerging. This Springer loves everyone he meets from adults to small children and toddlers. He loves to run, run, run but has not been allowed off of a long lead for safety reasons. He is well behaved and gets along well with other dogs and completely ignores cats. He plays well with the resident springers in his foster home and will stop and settle when told to if activity gets too rowdy. He loves to ride in the car and has even spent some time riding along over the road in a big rig.
Well-mannered, Whiskey sits, stays and even flips for a treat. He has had no accidents at all in the house. He does, however, have a thing for tissues and paper towels. Not sure what flavor they represent to him but he will shred and eat any that are within easy reach. He usually sleeps on the floor at night but will join you on the bed or sofa if invited.
Whiskey is one great boy. He will make someone a loving companion. He has made a positive impression in every way on his foster family and is sure to please the family that rings in the New Year with him!
Original:
When Whiskey was found as a stray by animal control in Pennsylvania and taken to the shelter, his owner was contacted but curtly said she no longer wanted him. Thus, Whiskey started on his way to becoming a MAESSR boy.
This sweetheart is great with everyone he meets– children of all ages, other dogs, adults. He is a very happy boy who walks well on lead, rides great in a car, and is fully housetrained.
Watch for more on this boy as he and his foster family get to know each other better!
