Original: Whiskey is a BIG boy, not fat, but just taller and bigger than the average Springer at the weight of 71 pounds. He has a BIG personality to go with his size. Whiskey was relinquished to MAESSR because his owner was traveling a great deal for his job and he felt that Whiskey was being left alone too much. He was obviously loved and cared for by his previous owner.
Whiskey is perfectly housebroken, but he is not crate trained. This has not been a problem in his foster home because of his good house manners. He would love to sleep in the bed with his foster parents, but accepts his relegation to his dog bed. Riding in the car is another thing that Whiskey enjoys doing with his people and he is a good passenger. When it comes to going for a walk, this enthusiastic boy pulls on the leash so a harness is recommended.
Whiskey loves to play with toys and thinks it is even more fun if you will play with him! When he first came to his foster home, Whiskey got a complete grooming and loved every minute of it! He kept acting like he did not want his foster mom to stop. In his foster home, Whiskey has been around children as young as four and has been good with them. It is unknown how he would be with younger children. As a plus, Whiskey is good with cats as well as other dogs!
Whiskey would love a family of his own. Is it you?
