Wesley is MAESSR’s 400th dog!!! And what a wonder he is! He’s sweet and friendly. Well, here’s what his foster mom has to say about him:
“This sweet 4 year old had a VERY good night at his new foster home. He and Lexi are getting along fine. His skin looks MUCH much better than I expected. He’s really in very good shape.
Very playful and loving, sweet disposition, walks well on a leash, doesn’t know a single trick, what to do with toys, or his name – I don’t think. I know he hears well because he’s skittish to sudden noises – planes, trucks, the hairdryer (well, that’s what you get for INSISTING on being in the bathroom while I’m getting ready!). He’s really a love, follows me everywhere. Doesn’t quite know what to do around a crate, went in to sniff around but wasn’t interested in hanging out there.
Wesley has been exposed to children and cannot be placed in a home with kids. Clearly, their quick random moves make him very nervous. He will only be placed in a child-free home.
Otherwise, Wesley continues to come along well. His skin is clearing up nicely. He really wants to be a lap dog and is great with adults – even strangers.
Wesley was on antibiotics because of a possible exposure to Lyme disease but has never shown any symptoms. His tear ducts do not produce tears, so he will need inexpensive saline drops every day. They cost about $10 a month.
