Original: “Although he hasn’t met children, he seems to like everyone that he meets.”
Watson was found as a stray running in the street in West Virginia and was brought to a shelter. While housed there he was given all of his vaccines and was neutered; MAESSR then took this wayward boy into foster care.
His only car ride was the three hour ride from West Virginia to his foster home in Pennsylvania. He threw up several times, but his foster parents are attributing that to nerves. He has a very nice temperament and gets along with the resident Springer in his foster home. Although he hasn’t met children, he seems to like everyone that he meets. He has not yet had an encounter with cats.
Watson knows basic commands and comes when called. He walks great on a leash and has been walked daily with the resident Springer. When his foster parents are not home during the day Watson is crated. He goes right in and does not appear to be stressed. He sleeps on a dog bed at night. There are several throughout the house that he likes. Currently his foster parents are working on his counter-surfing and peeing inside. While Watson does go potty outside, he also has had a few accidents in the house.
Watson’s foster mom gave him a bath and received no complaints from him. He also allowed her to clean out his ears. Yay, Watson!
This young boy, who has much puppy left in him, loves to play with dog toys. His foster brother has a lot of toys and has been willing to share. Watson has not destroyed any of the toys but has spread them all over the house. He is not partial to any particular toy but he did try to bury one outside. His canine sibling dug it up – ask first, Watson!
At mealtime Watson is fed in the kitchen with his foster brother. He will allow his foster mother to take his bowl and does not resource guard. He does have to be reminded to let his brother finish his first – but you can’t blame a growing boy for trying to get an extra bite!
Watson is a very sweet, agreeable guy who would fit into most any family.
