Wally’s owners have had him since he was a puppy. When Wally was diagnosed with Cushing’s disease, they wanted to put him down. The vet felt that this was not called for as Cushings is a very treatable disease and Wally has a lot of life ahead of him.
When his owners decided to move, they brought Wally to the vet to be put down. The vet convinced them to relinquish Wally to him so they might find a home for him. They felt that Wally was too good and sweet to be put down.
Wally is on medication twice per week for the Cushing’s. Under proper maintenance, he will continue to lose excess weight and will be a happy boy.
Wally gets along with dogs and cats and kids of all ages. He’s a gentle, laid back boy who lets you do just about anything to him. Wally would prefer to live with folks who are around the house more than just a working couple.
