Original: “Being close to his people is important to Tug who is a model Velcro Springer.”Tug was with an all-breed rescue and they felt MAESSR would have better luck finding this Virginia boy an appropriate home since he was a Springer.
This young Springer has excellent house manners and is completely housetrained. In his foster home, Tug quickly became a pro at using the doggy door. Although he is not crate trained, that does not matter since he is trustworthy inside even when his foster parents are not home. Having free reign of the house does not get Tug into trouble since he is not destructive at all.
Being close to his people is important to Tug who is a model Velcro Springer! He loves to sleep in the big bed with his foster family at night, too.
Quite the outdoor boy, Tug knows how to swim and really loves it when his family swims with him. If he’s not up for a dip in the pool, Tug loves to play fetch and will fetch any item—ball, toy, or stick. He is a pleasure to walk on the leash; there’s no pulling from him! And if his family is going somewhere in the car, Tug will gladly join them for the ride, being a good passenger.
Tug is a smart one too, knowing all of the basic commands like “sit,” “down,” “off,” “stay,” “wait,” and “let’s go” for going on a leash walk.
This sweet boy is going to be a perfect addition to someone’s family. Doesn’t he just “Tug” at your heart?
