Tucker is an incredibly affectionate puppy from Pennsylvania who continues to thrive and adapt to change in his foster home. Tucker came to his foster home having never interacted with another dog; however, he has done incredibly well and plays with his foster home companions from dusk to dawn. He is completely oblivious to the presence of the cats in his foster home and focuses his attention on his canine friends. When scolded by the older resident dogs for rowdiness, Tucker chooses to take the submissive route and allow the alphas to exercise their authority.
Tucker walks well on a leash and also has no issues riding in a car. He is an excellent patient at the vet and knows that every stranger is his friend! He has no medical issues and this housetrained boy has never had an accident in his foster home. He enjoys a good rawhide treat or a biscuit when his foster parents leave the house. He is not crated then; however, he seems to feel safe in his kennel so his foster parents leave it open for him to come and go as he pleases. He likes to jump a bit to say hello in addition to a quick hop on the sofa – both of which his foster parents are working to stop even though it is quite charming. He knows basic commands and will give you his paw when requested.
Tucker is a healthy 58 pound pup who enjoys the interaction he gets in his hectic foster home. It is probably best for him to have another dog or some children around who can keep him active and moving; however, he would also thrive in a situation where he is the only baby in the house.
Tucker is a slobbering joy to be around and anyone would be blessed to have him in their household.
