Original: Tucker is a loving and gentle boy who weighs about 50 lbs. His owner is giving him up because they have two other dogs and don’t have the time or energy to devote to Tucker. They originally adopted him from the Burlington County Animal Shelter in May of this year. He has a wonderful temperament and has never shown any aggression towards anyone. He is housetrained, but not crate trained. He knows some basic commands. His owner says the only bad habit Tucker has is that he likes to sleep on the couch and will sneak onto the bed when no one is home. One of his favorite things to do is taking rides in the car. He gets along great with other dogs and with the owner’s children who are 12 and 15 years old. Tucker has never been exposed to cats, so we don’t know what his reaction would be.
UPDATE:
Dear friends at MAESSR,
First of all, please accept our apologies for taking such a long time to write this letter. It’s been over a month ago that we adopted Tucker, and it’s been a very hectic month!
Tucker has quickly integrated himself into our family. He is an absolute sweetheart and we don’t know who loves him more – us or our other Springer – Sydney. They both get along so well together and are sad if we have to “scold” them for playing too much! Tucker and Sydney play ball and frisbee every day, and we go for walks in the evening. He is a chowhound, and will eat anything that comes his way, so we are trying to help him watch his weight. He is really an affectionate dog and plays well with the neighbor kids. He’s not particularly fond of our friends’ Shelties, but we’re hoping that will change with time.
We just want to say thank you for bringing Tucker into our lives. He is a very special dog and we are happy he was rescued and given the chance to come spend the rest of his life with us.
Kindest regards,
Dave and Debbie
