Update 01/05/2017: “Who knows what her name is meant to be…’True Lovey’?That certainly fits, and her forever family will find her to be just that…a true love!”
Truvy now has all of her health issues resolved and has been spayed…yay, Truvy! Now that she’s in tip-top shape, this girl is ready for her forever home.
Truvy’s foster parents say that she has adjusted wonderfully to being a MAESSR girl in a stable home environment and that she’s a real sweetheart. Who knows what her name is meant to be…”True Lovey”? That certainly fits, and her forever family will find her to be just that…a true love!
Original: “She loves her coat and prances around like she’s at a fashion show!”
Truvy was found as a stray in Pennsylvania. She had been at the shelter for about four months before MAESSR became aware of her. Once MAESSR knew she was there, arrangements were made to get her into a foster home very quickly.
Initially Truvy was very unsure about the other dogs in her foster home. She was growling at them and being very pushy. Actually, Truvy was very sick when she arrived at her foster home. She had pneumonia and a very bad urinary tract infection. She was immediately started on antibiotics for both. It took about 10 days before she felt much better. Now she is doing well with the other dogs in her foster home. Once she has completely recovered, Truvy will be spayed and get a much needed dental cleaning.
Truvy was started on an inexpensive supplement when she first got into foster care to help with her anxiety. It has been very effective and now she is a much happier girl.
Her foster mom shaved Truvy down soon after her arrival…and she loved every minute of it! She’s one of the easiest dogs to groom that her foster mom has seen in a while. Truvy is now wearing a coat to keep her warm. She loves her coat and prances around like she’s at a fashion show!
Truvy likes to play with tennis balls. She also loves to go for walks and is a spunky little girl. She is friendly and likes to make new friends. Her leash manners are very good and she loves to get attention from whoever is with her. She would love to have her own home where she can shine and show off her happy and loving personality.
