Update 11/22/2017: “However, she would probably do best as an only dog.”
Trixie’s ear infection has resolved. However, her white blood cell count has gone up, even though she has been on an antibiotic. Her vet does not believe that this is a cause for alarm, but the antibiotic has been changed. She will be on the new medication for 20 days and then will need to have her levels rechecked.
Trixie has continued to be a good girl in her foster home. However, she would probably do best as an only dog. Occasionally she will get too bossy for the other dogs and that annoys them. Most of the time she plays nicely with the other dogs, but then she decides to be in charge.
If you are looking for a sweet dog to be your one and only, keep an eye out for Trixie.
Original: “In fact, everyone that met her has fallen in love with her sweet personality and her cute face.”
Trixie and Joe were found as strays in a rural area of West Virginia. They were both very timid. The shelter was delighted that MAESSR could help with this cute pair. It was pretty obvious that they had been living outside.
Trixie quickly warmed up to the people transporting her and did the same when she arrived at her foster home. It hasn’t taken long for her to figure out that the good life is inside with people…and she wants more of it!
This cute girl does well on the leash and is a good traveler in the car. She would most likely counter-surf if her legs were long enough. With her long body and short legs, her foster mom does not think that Trixie will be doing too much “surfing.”
Although crate trained, Trixie would prefer to be with her people. She has had just one accident in her foster home, but her foster mom believes it was due to missing her signals to go out.
Trixie has been very good with the other dogs in her foster home. She was such a good girl at the vet and at the groomer. In fact, everyone that met her has fallen in love with her sweet personality and her cute face.
This sweetie would LOVE to share your home and be a part of your family. Do you have room in your heart and home for Trixie?
