Original: “Although a bit reserved when you first meet him, Trevor quickly warms up and wants to be your best friend.”
Trevor came into MAESSR’s care when the Maryland kennel he had spent his whole life voluntarily closed. A total love-bug, this sweet boy is learning how to live outside of a crate/kennel.
When he first came into foster care, Trevor’s vet visit found him to have a bad urinary tract infection and infections in both ears. He also was treated for worms. Now that his antibiotics are almost finished, he is feeling much better!
Although a bit reserved when you first meet him, Trevor quickly warms up and wants to be your best friend. Since he has not had a lot of exposure to things in the world, his foster home is doing their best to introduce him to lots of new objects and situations. His favorite things, though, are PEOPLE― especially the ones that love on him.
From his kennel life Trevor was crate trained and his housetraining is coming along very quickly. When his foster parents are out of the house, he is crated and he also sleeps quietly through the night in his crate. Trevor does not like for you to be upset with him so he tries to be a good boy. He is learning to walk on a leash and ride in the car. Car rides are ok, but he needs a little more practice to really enjoy them. To ensure a well-adjusted, safe life together, his forever family and he would benefit greatly by taking Trevor for obedience training. That would also strengthen their bonding.
Keep an eye out for Trevor as he continues to progress in his foster home.
