Toby had been adopted by his former Virginia owner from a local shelter. At that time he had some large masses and was not feeling very well. After the masses were removed and Toby started feeling better, the owners realized that his new boy needed a family that had a lot more time to exercise him and spend time with him. The owner made the difficult decision to find him another home. Having worked with MAESSR in the past, the owner asked MAESSR to find Toby a more suitable home.
Toby is such a SWEET boy. He loves to cuddle up tight and take a nap with his people. Totally housetrained and reliable, he is trustworthy in the house. He does not counter-surf and has nice house manners.
His foster parents have found that Toby likes to go for car rides with them and he is a very good traveling companion riding well in the car. Leash walks with Toby are not quite as relaxing at the start since he pulls out of enthusiasm; however, he quickly settles in at a nice pace.
At his vet checkup, Toby was extremely well-behaved. Blood test results showed that he is Lyme+; soon he will begin treatment. A dental treatment also is in Toby’s future. After the dental is complete in a couple of weeks, he will then be ready for his forever active home.
