When MAESSR got an urgent call for help from the staff of a Pennsylvania shelter, volunteers quickly leapt to action to pull a sweet male Springer who was overwhelmed at the shelter.
When Toby arrived in his MAESSR foster home, it was clear from his matted and dirty coat that he had been neglected for some time. His sweet Springer temperament was not damaged, though, as he was full of smiles and tail wags for his foster parents as they cleaned him up.
It soon became apparent that sweet Toby had some serious medical conditions. He started having so many seizures that the foster family and their vet could not get them under control. Rather than having him suffer, they had to send him to the Bridge…. May you enjoy your restored health as you play there, Toby. We wish we could have helped you more.
