Tiny and her siblings were brought into rescue when their owners had an unexpected litter when a female Brittany was added to their Springer household. They thought she was spayed, but she was not. So, Tiny’s litter came to be. Brittany rescue took five of the pups and MAESSR offered to take Tiny and her sister Ruby. The pups had a rock solid start in life with a loving family who spent time socializing them and getting them their first vaccinations, healthy food and lots of love. Their parents are shown to be of sweet temperaments and are beautiful, too.
Although Tiny may be small in stature, she is enormous in puppy love! She is a precious pup with a bold personality. Nothing is too little or too big for Tiny to do! When she met all of the resident and foster dogs in her foster home, Tiny wanted to play with them all at one time! Not all of the dogs wanted to play with such a rambunctious pup and Tiny has learned to respect this! She has also met the resident cats. When one cat gave her a swat on her nose, Tiny wisely decided not to bother too much with this kitty. The other cat is more curious and Tiny will play with her until she jumps on her cat perch. No fair! Tiny tries to climb up there too to no avail. Undaunted, she just changed her attention to the cat’s toys and bounding around the room! This speedy little girl just loves to run and play and when her foster mom is on the floor, Tiny comes running to hop on her lap.
Housetraining is coming alone well for this little girl. When she goes outside, Tiny loves to romp in the yard after the resident dogs and check out everything! She is very curious about the doggy door and stands watching the dogs go through it with the flaps going back and forth. Tiny seems to be thinking, Now just how do they do that? When it is time to go back inside, she has begun to follow the lead of the resident dogs and hops right through.
When her foster mom is not at home, Tiny spends time in her puppy pen that has a nice snuggly bed for napping and plenty of squeaky toys to keep her busy! When her foster mom comes home from work, Tiny will loudly let her know that she missed her and she is ready to come out and play! At night Tiny sleeps in her crate. After getting her bedtime snack, Tiny may whine a little, but settles down rather nicely and sleeps soundly throughout the night! In the morning she’s ready to get up and go out with the “big” dogs to relieve herself,
Squeaky toys are Tiny’s favorites! She loves making them squeak over and over again while running about the house. She plays hard and naps hard. When she wakes up, she’s raring to go again! Mealtime is very special to Tiny, also, and she will anxiously wait for her bowl to be filled. She has no problem with her foster mom petting her while she eats or removing the bowl. Tiny is learning to sit for her treats but as for right now it is a quick sit!
Tiny is a very active little pup and is busy, busy, busy! Although she loves to be held, she is very squiggly unless her foster mom rubs behind her ears or on her belly; then, Tiny will hold still! Be prepared for lots of puppy kisses from this little love bug! Tiny is getting the idea of the leash and will walk fairly well on it until she decides she wants to check out something. When she is doing something inappropriate, Tiny can be redirected by a whistle or a HEY! Good Girl!! Tiny likes to ride in the car and will check out both front and back seats, but prefers to be close to her foster mom.
A real people oriented puppy, Tiny has met children as young as four and does fine with them as they are very special playmates for her! Tiny is good with everyone she meets. Just watch her put on the charm! This holiday season, Tiny has made two special trips to meet Santa Claus and have her picture taken with him. She was so excited to meet Santa that she pulled on his beard and nearly knocked off his glasses! She gave Santa an extra special kiss to let him know that she is a good girl!
Tiny would do good in a forever home with another dog, cats and children that are puppy savvy. Also as required by MAESSR for puppies, obedience classes would be a great asset for Tiny to grow into a well behaved adult dog!
