When a Maryland Springer breeder developed serious health issues, he contacted MAESSR to rehome his dogs.  Tim is one of those puppies.

Tim has sooo much personality in his little body.  He walks around all the adult dogs in his foster home like he is king of the world and everyone loves him.  He is correct…everyone loves him.  He is just such a sweet and funny boy.

This little guy loves to play with the other dogs in his large, fenced yard.  Running and playing chase and sniffing for animal scents are the activities that fill his day.  They also make him sleep soundly at night.

Tim never met a stranger; everyone is his friend!  He is more than willing to cuddle, get a belly rub, or lavish kisses on his person.  He loves to ride in the car and he is a good, little passenger.

Tim’s veterinarian detected a common heart defect in him called Patent Ductus Arteriosus  or PDA.  It occurs when the ductus arteriosus fails to close down at birth.  Heart surgery corrected this condition and Tim is fully healed and is as healthy as can be!

His foster parents are working on housetraining and crate training with him and Tim is getting the idea.  Good puppy, Tim!

Please note that MAESSR only places puppies in homes that are committed to training and bonding with the pup in obedience classes. Puppies require a lot of care, attention, and patience, and they do chew on things! The decision to get a puppy and raise it to be a healthy, happy, and well-adjusted dog is a serious commitment. To reinforce this commitment, MAESSR requires all adopters of dogs one year old and younger to enroll their puppy in a series of obedience classes within 60 days of adoption.  Smart Tim will be a star pupil!

This loving little boy is going to make some family extremely happy.
