Teemu was starting to show some aggression with a visiting child in his New Jersey home. The family could not understand it because Teemu knew the child. After talking to a trainer and their vet and receiving no explanation as to why this was occurring, the family made the difficult decision to rehome Teemu to ensure the behavior did not escalate. Teemu has played with many other children in the neighborhood and never had an issue with anyone else.
This husky young man has wonderful house manners—he may check out the counters, but does not touch and never bothers with the trash—what a guy! He sleeps in bed with his foster parents and will actually put himself to bed if he is tired and they are not ready to go!
Teemu is housetrained and knows simple commands such as “sit,” “come,” and “down.” He was used to being walked on a very long rope so walking on a shorter leash is still a work in progress—he pulls quite hard. He enjoys swimming and playing ball and gets along well with other dogs in the neighborhood and foster home.
MAESSR’s new boy enjoys car rides and was well behaved for his vet visit. Updates will tell how he feels about the groomer!
His foster family has not seen aggression of any type with Teemu. He has been wonderful for everything and is a very sweet and fantastic cuddler. His furever home might include teens, other dogs, even cats; at just one year of age, this cutie is ready to learn what you’d like to teach and play what you’d like to play. He has never been to obedience classes, so formal training might be fun for him and a bonding experience for his new family.
