Tacci (ta-chi) was turned in as a stray to a shelter in West Virginia.
Poor thing, she was covered with fleas, ticks, and mats. We had to cut off most of her hair to give her some relief from the mats that were pulling at her skin. She has bumps all over her from flea bites – at least 100. Her foster mom also pulled off a ton of ticks. But, other than that, she is in fine health.
Tacci is a very good girl. She loves everyone in her foster family, kids, dogs, cats and adults. She, her foster mom, their dog, and their cat take walks together!
She loves to chase bunnies and will hunt anything. However, you have to keep Tacci on a leash, not only will she run from you off leash, she is a fence jumper. As well, Miss Sneaky knows how to open door knobs. So, you’ll need to keep the outside doors locked.
Tacci will need to go to a home that wants a warm wonderful dog, who is willing to either keep her on a leash or in a yard that has at least a 6 foot fence. Recalls can be taught, but it is a slow process. As clever as this girl is, she would do well in an obedience class.
Tacci is doing very well in foster care. She is gtting along well with their dog, the kids and all of the adults. She knows sit and shake and is working on her recall.
Tacci does have a condition known as spay incontinence. As a result she is on a low-cost medication. She will need to be on the medication forever, but it is very low cost and addresses the situation completely.
