Update 8/12/03: Stanley found his family!
Original:
Stanley is being given up because his family no longer has the time to give him the attention he deserves. Stanley is a well-behaved dog that loves to have his belly rubbed and be with his people. He is good with children & toddlers (lives with a 1-½ year old), does not jump on people and is happy to lie at your feet. Stanley prefers smaller dogs as playmates and basically ignores cats.
Stanley is housebroken, is not a chewer or a digger but does bark when someone comes near the house. Stanley has also started barking when his family is not home. Stanley does not use a crate and has run of the house except for the daughter’s bedroom & playroom. He may counter surf if food is left out and no one is around and sometimes will beg for food but will go away when told to. He is a smart guy. He knows sit, stay, come, down, paw and roll over. He gets very excited if he gets a walk and will pull on the leash for a while but then will calm down. He is good off leash.
Stanley loves to be brushed and is good with getting his bath, his nails trimmed & his ears cleaned. He is always ready for a car ride and has made trips of up to 9 hours with no trouble. He likes to play ball. He will fetch but doesn’t always want to give the ball up to adults but will give it to children. He will go for a swim if given a chance.
Are you the family to give Stanley the attention he craves?
