Update 03/09/10:
Sput and one of his littermates, Snoopy, are sharing one set of foster parents and their home. The family informally renamed Sput to Shadow because he followed his brother everywhere when they first arrived. These days, Sput/Shadow is more adventurous and loves to explore each and every niche of their large backyard.
Everything is a toy to this pup– a branch, an acorn, a walnut, blowing leaves. He pounces on or chases everything. He is such a happy dog, full of vinegar and spice!
Sput is not totally housebroken but is doing fairly well. He knows the “sit’ command, especially when he sees a treat in your hand. He has no issue with crating and loves to ride in the car. He is working on walking on a leash, not a favorite pastime after running loose in the woods for his first eight weeks! Along with Snoopy, Sput is still trying to figure out why the puppies in the full length bathroom mirror won’t respond to them. Too cute!
Sput is a darling. Affectionate and lovable, this little fluff ball couldn’t be more adorable. Check back for more on his progress!

It’s raining puppies at MAESSR! In addition to the previous litter of six from South Carolina, there are five little Springer brothers from Virginia who are looking for homes! Talk about cute little wiggle butts full of love and fun!
The concern of a good Samaritan started them on the road to becoming MAESSR pups. When she found nine puppies eating a deer carcass, she kept one of them, found homes for three others, and took the remaining five little boys to a local Virginia shelter. The shelter contacted MAESSR for help in their placement.
At approximately 10-12 weeks old, each puppy is ADORABLE beyond words. More news will come as unique personalities emerge and each puppy makes progress. Soon they will be ready for loving families who will take them to obedience classes, be their new playmates and soon their very best friends. Check back soon! This won’t take long!
