Original: Spike is a sweet happy boy. His owner has taken ill and he now needs a home. He is good with other dogs and children. He is housebroken but not crate-trained. We don’t know how he is with cats.
Update: I just want everyone to know that from the moment we brought Duncan home, he fit our family like a glove. He’s already assumed the position of my husband’s dog and does everything possible to get his attention and love. He is incredible with my kids (2 1/2 years and 11 months) and has set up camp next to my son’s highchair. He doesn’t miss a morsel! He’s a real sweetheart who wants love ALL THE TIME. I actually have to ask him to go lay down because he “shadows” me all the time. He and MacDuff (our first dog) get along very well and play constantly in the backyard. He patrols our yard faithfully day and night for squirrels and I can proudly announce that we haven’t had ONE since he came to live with us! He has been such a pleasant surprise – I couldn’t ask for a better dog. Whenever anyone asks why or how I adopted Duncan – I go into my rescue speech. He is a perfect example of what rescue can do for a dog and what a rescue dog can do for a family.
