Spencer needs to find a new home because one of his elderly owners has passed away and the other is frail and can not continue to care for him. He is now temporarily being cared for by a family member. Spencer is an incredibly healthy ten-year-old. He recently had his teeth cleaned and a small benign lump removed from his chin. Spencer has had only one ear infection and sometimes has goopy eyes. He is a tall boy weighing in at 54 pounds. Spencer was recently groomed and did great. He was fine with the bathing, coat and nail trimming, and now looks very handsome.
Spencer is housebroken and has never had an accident in the house. Spencer is a trash picker/counter surfer, and will go to any lengths to get into something. He knows some basic commands and after a while will settle on the leash, walking at heel. Spencer likes to ride in the car and will sit silently during the journey.
Spencer has a sweet personality and has never shown any aggression or bitten anyone. He has met children, and was happy to play with them. He sometimes will jump on people out of excitement. He is good with other dogs. Spencer is not good with cats.
Spencer’s favorite activities are sniffing around the yard or on a walk, playing tug and cuddling with his squeaky toys.
