Original: Socks was dropped off at a farm in West Virginia. We don’t know much about her yet at she has just come into rescue. She traveled well in the car and has been well behaved so far. She had many ticks and fleas. Her foster mom had to clip her down because her coat was too matted to groom. It will grow in, but for now she is enjoying a cool summer ‘do. This will also help her skin heal form the fleas and ticks.
Socks is a sweet dog, if a little too quiet. A couple of times she has been so quiet her foster mom had to go look for her, asleep on the chair. She sleeps wonderfully in the car both in and out of crate. She stays near her foster mom until someone addresses her and then she is wiggle butt and loves them and forgets all about her :).
Socks has really good leash manners. She has been getting walks for her potty breaks. When her foster mom stop with Socks ahead of her, she comes back to heel position without a word. She seems a little scared yet. She seems clueless of toys. She runs fine with the other dogs. She isn’t thrilled about going into a crate, but is fine once she is there.
Socks is a doll. She is doing great. She is easy to walk on leash. She wants to be petted always. She doesn’t like to leave people go to the crate, but once in the crate is gold. She is a easy maintenance dog. She has been sweet for vet’s 12 year old son, and all the staff at vet’s both male and female. She doesn’t own a mean bone.
Socks is supposed to be a character in the Garfield comic strip. Do you know what part?
UPDATE:
I just wanted to let you know that “Socks” is doing great and she is wonderful! I have renamed her “Jennie”, which she has already learned. She and Alfie are getting along fine if not exactly being playful with each other. Jennie is fitting right in and is a great girl.
