Simba was relinquished to MAESSR by his Pennsylvania family when they had repeated aggression problems with him. When Simba had an object such as a shoe that a family member tried to take it away from him, he would snap and sometimes make skin contact. Despite working with a trainer, the family did not feel confident in their ability to stop these aggressive incidents from occurring.
After working with him for a month, Simba’s experienced MAESSR foster parents found that his anxiety and aggression were not diminishing. His temperament made adoption an impossibility. His foster parents and their vet knew that the kindest and safest thing to do for Simba was to send him to the Bridge.
