Shakespeare currently lives in a dorm room! He will be two years old in November. His owner admitted not knowing enough about springers before he purchased him. Shakes is no exception for a young springer. He is a very healthy, active springer looking for someone to play ball with and take him swimming. His owner stated that Shakes has gained a few pounds since these pictures were taken.
Shakes would benefit from an obedience class. He has had no formal training, but knows sit for a reward. He is occasionally let off lead but does not always come when called.
Shakes is housebroken. He will bark to alert his owner that someone is in the area but quickly settles down. He will dig when left alone too long in the yard. He only chews his toys. Shakes is good with children and toddlers. He is very curious about other dogs and is ok after a proper introduction. The only time that Shakes is aggressive is over his bones and food. He lets out a growl to let you know he is not happy if you take his food and bones from him. He is a young dog and can be taught that this is not acceptable behavior.
Shakes comes complete with his AKC papers.
