Shadow and her sister were dropped off at a Richmond shelter becuase the owners did not have enough time for them. These are sweet girls who love everyone.
Shadow was completely traumatized by her stay at the shelter. The lost of her world and her sister was very hard for her. She became timid and fearful. It didn’t help any that she was in heat and her hormones were raging.
Shadow will be on hold for at least a month. We want to get through the spay surgery. We also want to give her a chance to relax to see who she really is.
Shadow is doing fine in foster care. She is a cat chaser so we won’t be placing her in a home with cats. Her spay surgery is scheduled for April. A bit of a wait, but she’ll be ready for her new home then.
