Scout was relinquished to MAESSR when his Maryland owners decided they were too busy to give him the time and exercise he needed.
When he first arrived at his foster home, Scout was a bit intimidated by the other dogs in his foster home. This lasted for about 20 minutes and, then, he decided it was pretty cool to have all these dogs to play with! He has gotten along perfectly with dogs from 10 pounds to 90 pounds. With all of these playmates, Scout has been getting lots of exercise and is totally enjoying it. He also enjoys chew bones and always likes carrying around items such as toys or dog blankets. In the summer’s heat, Scout has discovered that playing with the garden hose is a wonderful sport. Scout does have a strong hunting drive and he has caught several birds and a rabbit in the backyard to prove it!
Scout can be exuberant with children but there are no young children in the household. He does enjoy barking but is not a chewer, fence jumper, or beggar. He has attempted to countersurf, but his family has discouraged that behavior.
When his people are at work, Scout has free roam in his foster home. He also is crate trained. He loves to ride in the car and is a good passenger.
Scout this boy out! He may be the perfect Springer for you!
