Update 3/18/04:
Satin and Crystal have been adopted together!
Original:
Satin and her littermate Crystal need to find a new home because their owner will be moving overseas in May and she can not take them with her. Crystal and Satin have always been together and do become a little anxious when one is without the other (and their humans are not around) so we hope to place them together.
Satin is in overall good health but she does have arthritis and calcium build up in one hind leg. She is on ½ tab Rimadyl twice a day and glucosamine and chondroitin. She doesn’t have much strength in her hind leg but it doesn’t really affect her activities. She may have a little trouble getting up from a lying position & going up and down stairs. Satin eats the same special diet as her sister for convenience but does not need to.
Satin is very affectionate and loves her humans. She has never been aggressive with children or adults. Although she gets along with Crystal she has not spent a lot of time with other dogs. She has never been exposed to cats. Satin is the more dominate of the two girls and sometimes will growl at Crystal over food. Satin likes to lick and will lick people, herself, and Crystal.
Satin is very well behaved in the house. She is housebroken, does not chew and will go to her crate when given the “kennel” command. She does not jump on visitors, beg for food or counter surf. She will bark at animals that go in or out of her fenced area.
At a year old Satin went through basic obedience. She knows sit, stay, and down. She does not consistently obey the “come” command. She walks well on the leash and her owner can easily manage both girls when they go for a walk. Satin is very good for the groomer. She loves to be brushed and does not mind having her feet or ears handled. She is also ok with bathing.
Satin would love to have a new family that will rub her belly and scratch her ears. In return she will shower her new family with affection.
Do you have room in your heart and home for these wonderful sweet sisters?
