Original: “Sasha is just a perfect, sweet, gentle girl who wants to be loved.”
With a 15 month old child at home, Sasha’s New Jersey owner found little time to spend with this sweet girl. As a result, Sasha would act out by chewing papers that were left out. As long as someone was home, she was a good girl; being left alone resulted in the paper-chewing behavior. Sasha’s owner reached out to MAESSR to find her a new home.
Sasha is a perfect girl at her foster home. She has no bad habits such as chewing inappropriately, counter-surfing, barking, or getting on furniture. This girl is housetrained and has had no accidents in her home. Although she does not signal to go out, she’s let out several times daily to do her business. Sasha has not been crated and has free roam of her foster home because she is trustworthy.
There are no children in her foster home, but Sasha had previously lived with the toddler, as well as teenagers, and was very good with them. She has been good with the dogs in her foster home and does not guard her food. It is unclear how Sasha would react to cats. So far she has shown no interest in playing with toys.
Sasha came into foster care with ear infections and she is receiving medication and ear cleanings to clear them up. She’s been a good girl having her ears handled. Sasha arrived just a little overweight, but with a diet and lots of exercise, she is getting in shape. She is walked several times a day and loves running at her foster parents’ farm and splashing in the creek. Those pounds should be melting off quickly! Off lead Sasha has been good, coming when called. On leash she has learned not to pull. Good girl! Additionally, Sasha is good when being groomed and is a pleasant driving companion when traveling.
A real Velcro girl, Sasha just wants to be near her people as much as possible and is always at their side. At night she sleeps next to the big bed in her foster parents’ room.
Sasha would fit into many households and is looking for a home with or without children. She can be left alone for longer periods of time, but needs exercise and the attention of her family. Sasha is just a perfect, sweet, gentle girl who wants to be loved. You will be rewarded many times over with the love she’ll give in return.
