Sara has fit into her foster home just fine. There are only a few bad habits that she needs to work on. One is jumping up to greet her family, or anyone for that matter, when they come in the door. The other thing is her curiosity over what is left on the dining room table! She just really wants to know what morsels might be left there by her people. Sara still can be caught occasionally “sneaking” into bed with other family members when they are sound asleep, too. Guess you can’t blame a girl for trying!
Her allergy problem has cleared up nicely with the use of the topical spray, and once in a while, she just needs a “touch-up” if she starts scratching. She has become quite the “talker,” and her family can really get her going at times! Sara has pretty much had the run of the house with the rest of the pack since coming to her foster family and has proved herself to be a wonderful house guest!
Original:
When her owner was no longer able to care for her, Sara was relinquished to MAESSR. She is a very sweet, petite, loving girl and weighs only 31 pounds. Everyone at the vet’s office absolutely fell in love with her!
Sara walked into her foster family’s home and fit right in with the three resident springers. She has been given run of the house since arriving and has only had one accident at 3:00 A.M. on her first night. After the long, exhausting day she had, and with the new surroundings, people and dogs, that can definitely be overlooked! Sara does enjoy counter surfing and even attempted to help herself to scraps off of plates after dinner one night when her foster parents had company. She did wait until everyone’s backs were turned! But during dinner, she lies on the floor in the dining room with the rest of the pack and doesn’t beg.
Lying on a nice, cushy sofa is something Sara really enjoys and she has obviously been allowed to be a “bed dog” in her former home. It appears the “bed dog” problem was solved on the first night in her foster home and she now sleeps on a dog bed in her foster parents’ bedroom. The sofa issue is just too cute though and is going to be hard to break. At times, not only does she just lie on the sofa, but she is petite enough to lie up on the BACK of the sofa!
Sara appeared to do quite fine the one time her foster parents crated her. However, as soon as she heard their voices, she reminded them not to forget she was there! She’s a good traveler, lying on the back seat and chilling. She walks very well on a leash and knows at least some of her basic commands. She also likes to “talk” to her foster parents at times.
Could this be the little girl to wrap herself around your heart? And the back of your sofa, maybe?
