Original: “Rowdy loves attention from his humans and has had a fun time running with the other Springers in his foster home.”
Rowdy came to MAESSR when his previous owner in Virginia was experiencing major health issues which prevented Rowdy from getting the exercise and attention he needed. His owner was very sad to part with Rowdy, but felt it was in everyone’s best interest to allow him to find a new home where he could get more exercise.
Rowdy is a wonderful house guest in his foster home. He is reliably housetrained and is crate trained. This boy can justifiably be labeled a counter-surfer, but what self-respecting Springer isn’t? Rowdy loves attention from his humans and has had a fun time running with the other Springers in his foster home.
While his treatment for a urinary tract infection is now complete, Rowdy currently receives treatment for ear infections in both ears. He is very good about letting his foster mom put drops in his ears…he just expects a piece of hot dog as soon as she’s done! Rowdy also has a condition in his right eye known as “dry eye.” The eye does not produce enough tears, which makes it painful and more prone to infection. He gets one drop of medication in that eye each day to help his eye produce more tears. Again, he is wonderful about allowing his foster mom to put the drop in his eye…but, naturally, he expects a piece of hot dog as soon as the job’s done. This medication thing isn’t so bad!
Rowdy rides well in the car and he seems to enjoy being a passenger. He loves to go for walks and would like a family that promises to take him walking every day.
This sweet boy is ready for a new family. His goal in life is to be loved and taken on walks. Got room for Rowdy? He’s ready for you!
