Roscoe was found as a stray in Reeders, PA. Roscoe came into rescue recently groomed and very clean with the exception of a bad ear infections which is presently being treated with drops. Roscoe was given a clean bill of health at the vet on Monday, March 3, 2003 and is scheduled to be neutered on March 17th. Roscoe is short with very stocky legs and large feet, he weighs 53 pounds. He is very friendly with other dogs; when meeting the resident ESS there was no aggressive behavior from either dog. It is not known if Roscoe is good with children, but the woman that had Roscoe aka POCO (short for Pocono where he was found) had several cats and he did not mind the cats. Roscoe is quite mouthy and does not know that the hands are not for chewing; he will stop when told NO in a stern voice. He has plenty of energy and is working hard to get the resident marshmallow to play. Roscoe will bark and hide behind his foster mom when vistors come to the house and in a few minutes will go and want to get scratches. Roscoe has a very intimidating snicker and does not want to be touched while he is eating. Roscoe is housebroken and barks to be taken outside. Roscoe sits, shakes with both paws, will lay down and roll over for belly rubs. “Stay” is not in Roscoe’s vocabulary yet. Doggie obedience will help Roscoe be the perfect gentleman. Roscoe does not like to be crated and at night will find a nice cool spot to sleep. Roscoe has a few problems of where he should sit, he likes to jump on the kitchen chair to look out the door, he does not counter surf and does not seem concerned with the garbage, he does however like to be up to see what ever it is you are doing.
Do you have room in your heart for this very gentle boy?
Update:
Roscoe’s foster family was so taken with him that they decided to adopt him. Way to go Roscoe!!
