Rooster came to MAESSR from a shelter in Georgia where he had been found as a stray. Well-loved by the shelter staff who knew he needed treatment for heartworms, Rooster was sent north to become a MAESSR boy. Once he was in foster care, his heartworm treatment began.
Rooster’s motto is “Boys just gotta have FUN!” He thinks that everyone in the entire universe LOVES him and so he wants to show them how much he loves them back. Every activity that Rooster is involved with immediately becomes FUN! Rooster is a high energy boy, but he also knows how to settle when in the house.
Although Rooster had apparently been an outside dog in his previous life, he has quickly adjusted to living inside. He has not had accidents in his foster home since the first few after his arrival. He is crate trained, too. Rooster will counter-surf and occasionally will “steal” an item that is not his– just so he can have fun while you try to talk him into giving it back! Rooster LOVES playing with other dogs, wrestling, and running. He also loves to play with toys– the squeakier the better.
Do you need a little more FUN in your life? Invite Rooster into your life and then you will have something to crow about!
