Rocky is an eight-month-old puppy who has spent all of his young life outside. His owners could no longer afford to keep him, so they contacted MAESSR to find him a new home.
When Rocky first came to his foster home, he was scared and confused, but after meeting the resident dogs, he immediately began cueing on them and realizing that being inside was not bad. He has proven to have a very sweet, gentle disposition and he has won the heart of his foster mom, especially. He is just a loving, normal Springer who really wants to be where his people are.
Rocky is not yet housebroken, leash trained, or crate-trained – all of which his foster parents are working on. The housetraining is going well though and he has only had a few accidents. Rocky has learned “sit” and “off” and his foster parents are currently working on “down” and “stay” with him. He plays well with the resident dogs and has shown signs of interest in birds. His foster parents believe that he would be best suited in a house with other dogs, as he is still a bit uneasy with living inside; he’s not positive that it is really all right for him to be in the house.
Please keep tabs on Rocky as he has his very first vet visit and as he grows in his comfort level as a house dog. This adorable young Springer will make a wonderful addition to some lucky family.
