Robin was adopted 1 year ago from a humane society by her current owners who are in their 70’s. Although they love her and have taken very good care of her, they have come to the realization that providing a young springer with appropriate exercise is more than they can handle. Robin gets four walks each day and one of the walks is a long one off leash in a wooded area. She loves to run and chase squirrels but will not run off and will always keep her owner in view. For one of her walks she and her owner go to a park where they sit and share an apple which she loves.
Robin is housetrained and is crate trained but no longer needs the crate as she is fine in the house even when left alone. She gets along well with children but has no experience with toddlers. She likes other dogs that she has met on their walks but has no experience with cats.
Robin jumps for joy on visitors. She might steal food from the counter if she thinks she can get away with it and will beg for food. She knows “sit, stay and heel” though she has had no formal obedience training.
She LOVES to ride in the car but would prefer to ride in the front seat but will settle for the back seat. She probably will need a seatbelt.
She is well behaved for her owner to groom her. She loves to play ball and will carry a ball around the house just in case anyone wants to play. She is capable of retrieving all day if you want. She likes to play frisbee, too. She has been to a lake and has enjoyed swimming and boating both in a canoe and sailboat.
Robin would do well with a single person or couple, older kids, possibly another dog whose life style includes time for those long walks and a ball game. She has lots of love to give. Could she be your new best friend?
