Update 1/5/04:
Renee’s foster family was so smitten with her they adopted her.
Original:
Renee and her brother Winkles (also listed) came into rescue from a shelter where they were left by their family due to flooding in Wilmington, DE. As it turns out, they are both black and white American Cockers! They are smaller than an average springer, but are full of just as much love and joy. Both are reported to be 3 years old, and both are spayed/neutered. They are in separate homes and immediately blended in nicely to their new foster homes.
While Winkles only has to battle kennel cough, poor Renee is Lyme +, HW +, has whipworms and kennel cough. She is being cared for her in a MAESSR foster home and will be cleared of all other parasites and illnesses prior to beginning the very serious heartworm treatment. Renee is already spayed and she gets along with the other dogs and children in her foster home.
After her grooming she looks like a doll and is happily mat and fuzz free!
Renee is now in MAESSR foster care, and we will not withhold any medical care as long as we can help it. Her medical needs, including heartworm treatment, are estimated to cost over $500. If you are able, please help us help this sweet, pint sized “springer” with so much life left and love to give. You may make a one-time donation or become a monthly sponsor.
