Original: Rebel was turned in because owner’s wife is ill and doctor advised they relinquishing dog. The family had him since a puppy.
Rebel still needs to be evaluated. He is an absolute sweetheart once he is out of his kennel. Inside the kennel, he barks and growls at people. However, he does allow shelter workers to come into the kennel without a problem and has not tried to bite. He could be confused and fearful when caged.
Rebel’s health appears to be very good. He is housebroken, knows basic commands, He is good with young children, good with dogs, unknown with cats. He was previously used for hunting. He lived in an active household.
UPDATE:
Rebel is a really good dog. He has manners around the table. He stays off the couch, knows a few commands and loves to sleep by you. Rebel is very calm, and just sweet. He does bark when people or we get home he stopped barking when we leave. Boo Boo and he get along great. He accepted BooBoo as Alpha. Rebel does gravitate a little to Dave, a man’s dog. Rebel doesn’t really like the create. He has escaped once, He is very trustworthy in the house. We left him home for 6 hours out of the crate. He doesn’t seem to be too upset when we leave now that he knows the routine.
