Original: Poor Razz, he has sat in a shelter for three months before we learned of him. We have pulled him and he is going to a wonderful foster home. An outside dog all of his life, Razz is not housetrained and we will be working on that issue. We know very little about him at this time except that he has a really great personality which is why the shelter held on to him so long. We hope to teach this boy some house manners and then find him a great home.
The information we got from the shelter is incorrect. Razz is in fact housebroken. He is doing great in foster care. He gets along with Boo-Boo, the other Springer in the house and is adjusting nicely. We want to place Razz quickly so he can finally have some stability in his world.
UPDATE:
From Razz’s adoptive mom:
Razz is beginning to learn the dog door routine! He came in from outside by himself today and went out with help several times. He is already so well trained. Gradually, we are learning all that he knows–although I am sure he will keep a little to himself.
His new brother and sister and becoming used to him gradually. Since they are senior citizens, it is taking a bit longer. However, I notice fewer growls and very few snarls anymore.
One of his favorite exercises is running in circles around me while I hold the lead. I think he could go on for days.
UPDATE:
Update number two from his new family:
Just a note to tell you that Razz has completely won our hearts. He is the darling of the household as the only youngster around. It seems to be good for our older dogs to have a bouncy 5 year old pushing the status quo at all times. He is a great dog and we feel very fortunate to have been selected as his parents.
Warmest regards, Lindsey and Walter with a big sloppy kiss from Razz (aka. Razmuffin, Razberry, Razputin, Razmusin, Razzle Dazzle and Razmataz)
