Since puppyhood, Prince lived with his family in Virginia. Unfortunately, having two intact males in the house made for some tense moments between Prince and his brother, a blind and deaf 9 year old Australian Shepherd. The family felt that it was not fair to the Aussie to allow this to continue, so they made the extremely difficult decision to place Prince in MAESSR’s care.
While this smart boy hasn’t had any formal obedience training, he knows a number of commands. Prince responds to sit, stay, come, down, paw, and place, whether the commands are given verbally or via hand signal. His absolute FAVORITE activity is playing with his ball. He will bat it around and play by himself if there is no one else available. His second favorite activity is riding in the car. He runs to the car every chance he gets to see if just possibly he can talk his foster mom into a ride.
Prince is a very handsome boy with that special Springer smile in greeting. Prince has nice house manners and sleeps in a crate at night. When he initially came to his foster home, he marked in two places. Since his foster home also had three intact males at the time who were not housebroken, his foster mom could not be too upset with him for this slip. Recently, however, Prince’s house training has been impeccable.
This is one “Prince” of a dog, no frog kissing required!
