Original: A champion show dog, Piper had been with her original owner since she was a pup. Over the past several months, Piper decided that she did not like her springer sister who had developed epilepsy. When her sister had seizures, Piper would go after her. Due to these problems, the owners have asked MAESSR to take Piper.
Piper is adjusting well to life with her foster family. She has good house manners with the exception of a little counter surfing. She does not beg at the table, but just lies under the table at her foster mom’s feet during meal time. Piper is housebroken and loves her dog bed and crate which is open in her foster family’s computer room. When her foster mom is working on the computer, Piper likes to go in her crate to rest. Of course, when computer work is done and her foster mom leaves the room, Piper is right at her side. When her foster family is away during the day, they give her free run of the house and there have been no problems.
Piper is not a chewer, nor does she dig in the yard. She walks great on a leash and has always been crated when in the car, no problems. Since she was a show dog, she has no grooming issues and loves to be pampered. Her favorite activity in the whole wide world is playing Frisbee. Piper catches the Frisbee in mid-air and willingly retrieves it to be thrown to her again. Her relinquishing family indicated that Piper also likes to swim.
Piper would be happiest as an only dog so she could be pampered without other dogs getting into her space. Do you have room for this princess in your life?
