Original: “Pete has a very soft mouth and a very jumpy body – true Springer!”
This handsome guy came to MAESSR by way of Tennessee when his owner was no longer able to care for him. Nicknamed “Puppy Pete” by his foster family, since he is still so young and learning like a pup, Pete is still picking up all the tricks of the trade. He is working on the commands of “sit,” “stay,” “down,” and “come,” as well as discovering what toys are! Pete is a fast learner who nearly perfected his “sit” in a mere two days! He’s also housetrained and doesn’t have any bad habits like digging or counter-surfing.
EVERYTHING is new to Pete, even linoleum floors! He wasn’t sure about getting into the car, but went right to sleep once he was in. He loves to play with his foster sister, even though she grumbles a bit. He’s shown a little interest in the neighbor’s cat, but hasn’t chased him. Good boy, Pete!
Pete recently went to the groomer – wow – he is SO handsome! He was pretty good at the groomer, particularly since it was probably his first time having that experience. He wasn’t fond of his feet or head being groomed, but he finally gave in like the Southern gentleman he is.
Pete has a very soft mouth and a very jumpy body – true Springer! He loves to snuggle with his foster daddy on the sofa and has learned that the big bed is only for people and his own bed is just as snuggly. His whole body wags when he wags his tail! Pete has also been known to take a few items, like socks, when he finds them lying about. He hasn’t chewed them but thinks they make great things to sleep with!
Look for more information to follow as we learn more about this very sweet boy, who his foster parents already know is an absolute gem!
