Original: Pepper and his buddy, Charlie Timms, were picked up as strays by the staff of a shelter in western Pennsylvania. When their owner was contacted, he said he did not want them back and after several weeks in the shelter, they came into MAESSR’s care. Over the next several weeks, Pepper’s foster family worked with him and watched as his emerging personality surfaced. Unfortunately, after a full and thoughtful evaluation, it became clear that he would not be suitable for adoption.
