Original: “It turned out that Peanut is a Springer mix which, obviously, makes her the best kind of mix!”
Peanut was in a Texas shelter that was running out of room. She had been released to the shelter when her former owners lost their home. MAESSR was contacted to see if we could help Peanut find a forever home. Since she looked more Springer-y in the photos, MAESSR agreed to take her. It turned out that Peanut is a Springer mix which, obviously, makes her the best kind of mix!
This girl that traveled a long way from home is extremely sweet. She has demonstrated fine house manners as she does not counter-surf or hunt through trash. She is crate trained as well.
On walks Peanut will pull a bit on the leash as she explores her new world. She rides well in the car. At both the vet and groomer, Peanut was extremely well-behaved.
Peanut will guard her food from the other dogs in her foster home. She is good with some dogs but would likely be best as an only dog.
Peanut will be a great addition to a family looking for a loving companion that would happily hang out with them.
