Patches is a 7-year-old male that we pulled from a shelter and had to be kenneled while we waited for a foster home for him. By all accounts he is a sweet, lovely, friendly dog who is great with kids and people.
While happy to see him go into a home, everyone at the kennel was sorry to see this much loved dog leave.
Patches in now in foster care. He is doing very well. He is housebroken as we thought. He is getting along with the other dog in the house. He really loves everyone. This is a laid back happy boy who will make a great addition to any family.
Update: From Patches’ foster mom:
Patches is an absolute teddy bear. He is a sweat heart and full of love. He is bouncy, bouncy and fun, fun, fun, fun, fun. He is a very well-behaved dog. He is just happy to sit at your heels and be near you. We are working on housebreaking skills and he is doing really good. We crate him during the day and he does fine. He gets along good with our other Springer, Haley. He growled at first but that was just a show. He has warmed up to all of us. He does need reassurance that he is loved and a good boy. He is good on a leash and he likes to go the park.
Patches is still a little overweight but he continues to lose weight. He had a tumor on this foot which we had surgically removed. We were all pleased to learn that the tumor was benign and he should have no further problems from that area. His foot is basically healed and Patches is ready to go on to a new home. Is it yours?
