Original: Ozzie is a sweet young happy puppy. He was bought from a pet store and then the owners decided they didn’t have enough time for him. We’re not sure why, but his tail wasn’t docked. So, he has a lovely plume trailing him. He is just a great boy who loves everyone. He is up to date on his shots, housebroken – and basically crate-trained. He will be neutered before placement.
Ozzie LOVES children/people in general. He goes nuts when the kids come home and can play with him. He is a chow hound — will gladly eat his dinner and all the others if they’ll let him. He knows sit, and will do it once he knows you mean it. (typical springer!) He knocks a propped-up gate over and jumps a knee-high one to be in the same room with people, but he hasn’t tried the gate made from the sides of a Dane-sized crate. Ozzie is having a blast playing with the five month old Dane pup his foster mom is “babysitting.” He thinks dogs are great fun to play with, loves to play chase with them. Ozzie has ignored the cats when I brought him into my bedroom, but the others will soon teach him to chase them in play [hence the number of gates in his foster mom’s house].
Ozzie needs some manners (like not putting his feet on the counter to watch me getting him water), but he is not obnoxious … a sweet little boy with a lot of energy looking for that special family that will make a lifetime commitment to him.
As with all of our puppies, whomever adopts him will have to make a written commitment to take him to an obedience class within 60 days of adoption.
